The WVSCA Graduate Student of the Year Award celebrates a master’s student in school counseling whose exceptional scholarship, advocacy, and leadership potential set them apart.
BENEFITS
The Graduate Student of the Year will be recognized at our Annual Conference. Social media, email announcements, and media releases will be provided by the WVSCA.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the Graduate Student of the Year Award, an individual must:
- be enrolled in an accredited school counseling program;
- have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher;
- be a member of the WVSCA by October 31; and
- be nominated by the deadline of October 31.
Nominations
The nomination includes:
- Letters of support. Provide up to three letters of support (minimum of two). One letter must be from a member of the school counseling faculty at their institution. Letters should provide examples of the student's academic ability, advocacy, and leadership potential.
- A brief description of why you are nominating the student.
